Tips For Mom - Toddler at 1 Year

Keep your calm
At the age of one, your child develops his sense of independence and may test your responses towards his actions. He may deliberately do something against your wishes, like scattering or throwing his toys, or do something that poses a danger to him, like reaching for objects that may fall on him. Calmly tell him “no” and explain why he shouldn’t have done it.

Encourage your child to explore and be curious
When your child asks questions, try your best to answer them and describe it in the simplest sense. Play songs and sing and dance with him so that he can improve his speech. Teach him to mingle with children his age so that they can get along with people besides family.
